Armed robberies
put UH on high alert
The University police department is stepping up its campus
patrols and is asking all students, staff and faculty to be on high alert
in response to a recent string of armed robberies.
Regional NBSE to meet on campus
More than 200 students from as far as North Dakota will
be on the UH campus today and all weekend to attend the National Society
of Black Engineers' annual Spring Regional Conference.
Poll: U.N. Proof needed for war
Americans and Texans in general want the United Nations
to fashion the proof that Iraq has been harboring weapons of mass destruction
before going to war, a Texas Public Policy Survey released by the University
of Houstonis Center for Public Policy reported Thursday.
Academic networks getting cable
upgrade
A campus-wide recabling of the network system, affecting
only academic buildings and labs, is in the works for faster connections
and a more secure transmission of data throughout the University community.
