Cougars dominate Techsters

The UH tennis team ended its slide by beating the Louisiana Tech Techsters at the downtown Metropolitan Racquet Club on Friday. The Cougars won five of six singles matches and all three doubles competitions. UH improved to 2-2 in dual matches.

Senior Analia Longoni played as the teamis No. 1 again, beating Louisiana Techis Saharai Uriarte in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-3. All of the Cougarsi wins were in straight sets. Junior Karine Urbin was the only Cougar to lose Friday.

The Cougarsi scheduled match against Louisiana State on Sunday was postponed because of inclement weather. The match will now take place at 2:30 p.m. today (weather permitting) at the John E. Hoff Varsity Tennis Courts at UH.
