SGA asks SFAC for
$120,000
Promoting their five key objectives for the coming year,
the Student Government Association told members of the Student Fees Advisory
Committee on Monday that "we represent everyone at UH," and that steps
were being taken to live up to that credo.
UH supporters head to Austin
Austin may be a Longhorns town, but the Cougars are taking
over today with one thing on their minds: money.
IT targets e-mail spam, pop-ups
Students and faculty will be receiving new tools to combat
the often invasive and annoying "spam" messages and pop-up advertisements
in e-mail.
Inclement weather delays IAW speakers
Organizers for the Islamic Awareness Week were disappointed
to learn that the two speakers they planned on having in town Monday were
delayed by severe weather conditions in the northeast United States that
caused flight cancellations in both New York City and Washington, D.C.
Correction
In Monday's Page 2 Spotlight, the time and place of the "Sistahs in
the Struggle" discussion was incorrect because of incorrect information.
It will be held Thursday in Rm. 101, Social Work Building.
The Daily Cougar regrets the error.
