NSM graduation moved to May 16 Cougar News Staff The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has moved its graduation ceremony to 2 p.m. May 16 at Hofheinz Pavilion so graduates can invite more relatives and friends, NSM Assistant Dean Laura Vailas said. The ceremony was originally set for May 14 at Cullen Performance Hall, but the limited number of seats in the hall meant graduates could invite a limited number of people. "Cullen Performance Hall has always been crowded for us," Vailas said. "This allows (students) to bring an unlimited number of guests." Vailas said the college has an average of 500 graduates every year. This is the first year its ceremony will be on a Sunday, but she said she expects reaction to be positive. "Given the choice, I think students will be happy to be able to invite as many people as they want to," Vailas said. Any NSM students with questions about the
change may call the dean's office at (713) 743-2620.
