Zombies come for
box office mastery
All the controversy sparked by Mel
Gibson's The Passion of the Christ seems unfounded. After two thousand
years of questionable answers, it's finally clear -- the Jews didn't
kill Jesus, zombies did.
Rodeo, 311 keep H-town entertained
Even with all the excitement in Austin,
Houston still gave Spring Breakers something to enjoy. Here's a recap of
the week's best events.
SXSW brings musical mix, excited
crowds
to capitol city
A band takes the stage and thanks everyone in the audience
for coming to see them, considering the thousands of other acts they had
to choose from that evening. A person in the audience turns to the stranger
next to him and says, "There isn't anyone else I wanted to see tonight
more than this band."
Peña, Bronco mature
It's been ten years since the immortal
queen of Tejano music, Selena, delivered the performance of a lifetime
before a then record-breaking crowd at the Houston Astrodome one month
before her death. Five years later, a young blossoming talent from Corpus
Christi named Jennifer Peña paid tribute to her on the same stage,
never imagining one day she herself would return to headline the event.
Video game history taught
GSN, formerly the Game Show Network,
is airing a two-hour documentary on the history of video games. Like G4TV's
30 Minute Icons show it explores in-depth the names and companies behind
the video game industry.
