Please, just one more day ... The Strokes offer one last taste of fun before end of Spring Break Cougar A&E Staff As the final hours of Spring Break dwindled and the purgatory of school again came into view, Houston revelers tried to stretch their last moments of freedom by taking in a performance of the critically acclaimed Strokes at the Verizon Wireless Theater.
Vocalist Julian Casablancas breaks down in a show of the powerful emotions The Strokes injected into their live music. The band made its entrance with minimal flashiness and chose to begin by showcasing its own raw musical style rather than talking to the crowd.
Nick Valensi brings his guitar and his own style to Houston's last bastion of Spring Break freedom Sunday night at the Verizon Wireless Theater. By the end of it all, students had to head home to forgotten homework and assignments with the dread of midterms and more studying on the horizon before the final respite of summer.
