By the horns: A mover rests against
the Luis Jimenez sculpture "Sodbuster, San Isidro," a 24-foot-long fiberglass
work depicting a farmer behind an ox-driven plow, during its installation
near the Fine Arts Building on Thursday morning. Jimenez teaches figure
drawing and public sculpture at UH each spring; "Sodbuster" is on a long-term
loan to the University.

Scarlet's
return is metallic 'Classic'
Four years ago, fans suffered
the breakup of the gritty rock ensemble Scarlet, a staple in metallic-hardcore
(not to be confused with heavy metal). Scarlet helped to nurture the growing
popularity of the genre during its infancy through the late 1990s and into
2000.
