Campus Crime Update

The following is a partial report of campus crime between March 17 and Tuesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics shows when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling (713) 743-0600.

Burglary: 2:20 p.m. March 17, Cougar Softball Complex -- Reporting party advised that an unknown person(s) stole an audio system and three UH softball jerseys between 4:30 p.m. March 6 and 2 p.m. March 17.

Theft: 1:43 p.m. March 21, Parking Lot 12A -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole her parked, secured vehicle between 1 p.m. March 12 and 1:30 p.m. March 21.

Theft: 8:24 a.m. Monday, Student Service Center third floor -- The reporting party stated that an unknown person(s) stole a bronze head from a display case between March 19 and 7:45 a.m. Monday.

Theft: 6:25 p.m. Monday, Parking Lot 20A -- Complainant reported unknown person(s) stole a strongbox containing a semi-automatic handgun from his secured vehicle between 9:50 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Assault: 12:11 a.m. Tuesday, Law Hall second floor -- Reporting party stated that he and his girlfriend assaulted each other outside his residence, but neither wanted to press charges. Both were issued Residential Life and Student Life referrals and released. Occurred between 12:01 and 12:10 a.m.

Burglary: 11:27 a.m. Tuesday, Parking Lot 1A -- A visitor was observed by surveillance unit burglarizing a vehicle. When police arrived, one suspect was caught, arrested and released to the Harris County Jail. A second suspect fled.

Theft: 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Architecture Building third floor -- Complainant reported his digital camera missing after he removed it from his locker at the Architecture Building and placed it on his desk, then left the area. Occurred between 1 p.m. Monday and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
