UH
pitching falls apart against TCU
Texas Christian sent ten
hitters to the plate and eight across it in the top of the ninth to salt
away an 18-7 thrashing of the Cougars on Sunday at Cougar Field that gave
the Horned Frogs a 2-1 series win.
Wheels
come off for Cougars
The sound of an ambulance
whirring by the Cougar Softball Complex complemented the softball team's
vanquished faces and limp Cougar paws as the fight song played on the loud
speaker Sunday afternoon. The squad endured a weekend full of fierce blows
and beat-downs by the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, a shellacking senior
pitcher Jamie Falco said would be better if just forgotten.
UH
knocks off No. 63 Rice, falls to Lady Horned Frogs
Coming in with a four-game
winning streak that included an impressive win against No. 63 Rice on Friday,
the Cougar tennis squad suffered a gut-wrenching loss to No. 27 Texas Christian
on Sunday at the John E. Hoff Varsity Tennis Courts.
Final
Four set with big boys
Though the Men's NCAA basketball
tournament is known for Cinderella's, upsets, improbable antics and wild
finishes, viewers this weekend found that only one of those held true for
the Final Four.
