UH mock trial
team wins national title
The UH Law Center's mock trial team
took first place in the 2004 National Trial Competition, held Saturday
in Austin. It is the first time a UH law team has won the prestigious trial
contest, which involves more than 1,000 students from 100 law schools across
the country.
A story 'nothing
short of a miracle'
Lynette Spedale is a traditional college
student -- as far as UH is concerned. Thirty-four years after her parents
withdrew her from Sam Houston State University to live the only life her
family knew, the 51-year-old mother of two said she's reclaimed her dreams
and will earn her bachelor's in education from UH in May. |
