Campus Crime Update

The following is a partial report of campus crime between March 26 and Thursday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics shows when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling (713) 743-0600.

Theft: 1:45 p.m. March 26, Cougar Place bicycle rack -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole his secured bicycle from a rack between Buildings 9 and 10 between 10 p.m. March 12 and 10 a.m. March 13.

Theft: 7:01 p.m. March 27, Parking Lot 12A -- Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in Lot 12A and went to his office; when he returned, the vehicle was missing. Occurred between 8 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.

Aggravated robbery: 9:01 p.m. March 27, Parking Lot 18A -- A student reported being robbed at gunpoint as he entered his vehicle. Occurred at 8:56 p.m.

Public intoxication: 1:56 a.m. March 28, 3700 Cullen Blvd. -- A visitor was arrested for public intoxication and was booked into the Harris County Jail.

Burglary: 2:48 a.m. March 28, Parking Lot 12A -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole the stereo from her parked, secured vehicle between 3 p.m. March 27 and 2:10 a.m. March 28.

Aggravated robbery: 10:35 p.m. March 28, Entrance 1 -- A student reported an unknown black male tried to rob him at gunpoint, and another student reported he was robbed at gunpoint. An investigation is under way.

Theft: 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, Science and Research II fifth floor -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole her backpack while it was left in an unsecured room between 9:40 and 9:50 a.m. 

Theft: 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, M.D. Anderson Memorial Library third floor -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened her bag and removed her wallet while she was using a laptop computer. Occurred between 2:35 and 3:35 p.m.

Assault by threat: 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, 4900 Calhoun Road -- Complainant reported an unknown Hispanic male verbally threatened to assault her and her daughter at 4:15 p.m.
