News Leadership society inducts 23 members Cougar News Services The Omicron Delta Kappa Society inducted a new group of campus leaders Thursday, including Pharmacy Dean Sunny Ohia, track and field head coach Leroy Burrell and 21 upper-level and graduate students. ODK recognizes scholarship and leadership in campus governance, athletics, creative arts and media. New student members are Mansour Abdulbaki, chapter president, American Institute of Chemical Engineers; Jaron K. Barganier, football letterman; Matt Bell, student government vice president; Linus Craig, actor in the School of Theatre; Patrick Elkins, managing editor, Houston Law Review; Sarah Flood, former varsity tennis player; and Edward Foster, vice president of the Interfraternity Council. Also inducted were Tracelyn K. Gesteland, opera singer; Phillip G. Hamilton, president, Organization of Chemical Engineering Graduate Students; Gregory Hundemer, stage manager and set designer, School of Theatre; Landon Jones, president, Optometric Student Association; Margaret Kugel, chief notes and comments editor, Houston Law Review; Brett J. Logan, starting catcher, varsity baseball team; and Stuart Musslewhite, shorstop, varsity baseball team. Rounding out the list of new members were Chibuike
Nwaokelemeh, president, National Society of Black Engineers; Kelly D. Robertson,
set designer, School of Theatre; Nathan Schmidt, vice chairman, American
Society of Mechanical Engineers; Frank Serafini, president of the Pi Kappa
Alpha Fraternity; Susan Turcotte, editor in chief of the Houston Law Review;
Mehreen Vazir, president, Omega Chi Epsilon Chemical Engineering Society;
and Ronald Veillon, captain of the UH track and field team.
