Jump in UH's light
bill less than predicted
The cost of electricity under a new
contract at the University was expected in February to increase by 40 or
50 percent this spring, but final numbers show the increase will likely
be closer to 18 percent, Associate Vice President for Plant Operations
David Irvin said.
Experts on Russia to meet at UH
A conference of experts on Siberia
and the Russian Far East will take place for the first time in the Western
Hemisphere beginning today -- and the meeting will take place at UH.
Bookstore deal ends fund-raiser
As a fund-raiser, the Cougar Bowling
Club often held what President Mike Ransdell called "spirit sales." The
club would rent a space at the front of the University Center and sell
T-shirts with the University's logo for $5.
New beat for organ program
Pipe organs and disco balls may seem
to be an unusual combination, but it's one the organ department at the
Moores School of Music recently decided to put to good use. |
