Cougar, yearbook editors to be chosen

The Student Publications Committee will meet this afternoon to elect the editors in chief of The Daily Cougar for the summer and fall semesters and the editor in chief of the Houstonian yearbook.

The committee, which is made up of students, faculty, staff and representatives from the Department of Student Publications, oversees the Cougar and the yearbook. Applications for the top editor positions at both publications were due earlier this month.

"This is an important meeting because it's when we choose the leadership of two of the campus's most important institutions," SPC Chairman Keenan Singleton said.

Today's meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 4 p.m. in the University Center Satellite's Allison Room.
