Tom Penders
The following is an edited interview
with UH men's basketball coach Tom Penders. Penders was named head coach
March 23, replacing Ray McCallum. Penders is 527-361 in 30 seasons as a
college head coach.
Hosts not
as polite this time
Sometimes history repeats itself,
but sometimes it reverses itself entirely. Houston (14-21) never got even
a toehold, as the Texas A&M (No. 13) jumped on the Cougars from the
get-go and never jumped off, thumping the visitors 8-1 at Olson Field on
Tuesday.

gives UH steam
The Cougar tennis team added another
ray of sunshine to an already beautiful day out at the John E. Hoof Varsity
courts by winning two matches Tuesday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
and Sam Houston State.
