Gogue
decides to keep search open
University President Jay Gogue announced
Thursday that he will not choose any of the six candidates for provost
who have visited the campus, saying the search process for the UH and UH
System's academic chief will continue.o new posts in the Division
of University Advancement at UH on Thursday.
UH cheer team
wins third title
The UH cheerleaders won first place
in the Division I-A Small Coed 1 finals at the National Cheerleading Association
championship earlier this month -- the second consecutive title for the
squad and the third in four years.
Students express
concern on crime
In light of a recent spate of robberies
on campus, some UH residents say there's a problem that needs to be addressed.
Gay students
will protest -- without a word
The Gay, Lesbian or Bisexual Alliance
at UH will protest discrimination against homosexuals next week by not
saying anything. GLOBAL will participate in the National Day of Silence,
a 24-hour annual youth protest designed to fight discrimination and abuse
against gays.

Thursday's Page 1 article "Fogarty:
Billing mix-up is unfair" incorrectly reported that John Bowen is interim
dean of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.
In fact, Bowen is dean of the college. |
