News Regents to discuss strategic planning Cougar News Staff The UH System Board of Regents will meet Tuesday morning to discuss strategic planning initiatives, another step in the months-long process of developing a "road map" for the System in the next decade. The planning process began with hearings at each of the System's four universities, during which a variety of administrators, faculty, staff, students and community members discussed the System and the changes they expect in the next 10 years. The hearings concluded in early April with presentations from System vice chancellors. The regents considered the information from the hearings and the public during a working retreat in mid-April and are expected to draw up a strategic plan this month. Tuesday's meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the Melcher
Board Room of the Athletic/Alumni Center.
