A fine day for sailing:
A
remote-controlled boat navigates the waters of the fountains at Cullen
Family Plaza on Wednesday. The boat belongs to Jason Burton, equipment
manager of the Texas Music Festival.
TOP STORIES
Experience
defines UH business program
The students are diverse, talented
and passionate. Alumni and faculty members own businesses, lead their communities
and rattle off million-dollar figures as if they were giving their phone
numbers.
UH
blind to disabled students
UH is spending $47 million on a M.D.
Anderson Memorial Library renovation that will serve most students. "Most,"
however, unfortunately indicates that certain members of the UH community
have essentially been left out of the plan when it comes to accessing the
library.
Track
returns to prominence
For those of you who do not know him,
his name is Leroy Burrell, Olympic gold medal winner and head coach of
the Cougar track and field program. Burrell and assistant coaches Kyle
Tellez and Theresa Fuqua work hard at recruiting and training dedicated
athletes who are committed to bringing championship prominence back to
a once dominant program.
Smaller
clubs offer better bills
Live music in the summertime doesnit
have to be associated with lawn seats, overpriced band merchandise and
long bathroom lines ? there are plenty of worthy options this weekend for
patrons of smaller clubs.
