Track returns
to prominence
For those of you who do not know him,
his name is Leroy Burrell, Olympic gold medal winner and head coach of
the Cougar track and field program. Burrell and assistant coaches Kyle
Tellez and Theresa Fuqua work hard at recruiting and training dedicated
athletes who are committed to bringing championship prominence back to
a once dominant program.
UH lands 92 on C-USA list
The 2003-2004 school year has been
phenomenal for several of UHis athletics programs. But not all achievements
were made on the field, on the track or in the pool. A total of 92 athletes
from UH earned a place on the Conference USA honor roll, named by C-USA
Commissioner Britton Banowsky. From the 15 schools in the conference, a
total of 1,719 students were recognized.
