News Campus Crime Upate The following is a partial report of campus crime between Thursday and Monday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling (713) 743-0600. Credit card abuse: 11 a.m. Thursday, Cambridge Oaks -- A student reported an unknown person(s) abused her Visa credit card between June 1 and 6. Evading detention: 1:50 a.m. Friday, 5018 Calhoun Road -- A student was arrested and transported to the Harris County Jail for evading detention on foot after he was stopped for a traffic violation. Burglary: 5:45 a.m. Friday, Cougar Place -- The reporting party advised that a coin-operated vending machine in the laundry room of Cougar Place has been burglarized four times since November. An investigation is under way. Burglary: 7:59 a.m. Friday, Parking Lot 1A -- A visitor reported that someone burglarized her parked, secured vehicle between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. Burglary: 1:45 p.m. Friday, Parking Lot 1A -- A visitor reported that someone burglarized her parked, secured vehicle between 7:35 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Theft: 4:05 p.m. Friday, Science & Research I -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole his personal property between 3 and 4 p.m. Theft: 6:15 p.m. Friday, McElhinney Hall -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole personal property from her unsecured office between 4 and 6 p.m. Theft: 5:41 p.m. Sunday, Roy G. Cullen Memorial -- A staff member reported his UH-owned laptop computer was stolen from his secured office between 4 p.m. Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday Burglary: 6:54 a.m. Monday, Ezekiel W. Cullen Building -- Two office areas on the fourth and fifth floors of E. Cullen were reported burglarized between 5 p.m. Friday and 6:54 a.m. Monday. An investigation is under way. G. Hoffman Hall -- Complainants reported unknown suspect(s) were attempting
