Enrollment dips
for summer
Enrollment for the first summer session
is approximately 11,400, a decrease from the same time last summer, Associate
Vice President for Enrollment Management Ed Apodaca said. He attributed
the decrease to a number of reasons, chief among them expiring financial
aid.
End is in sight for water main
project
The replacement of city water mains
around the UH campus, which has led to partial closures of streets in the
area, will continue through the end of the summer but should be largely
complete in a few weeks.
In China, a reckless ride to culture
XI'AN, China -- Xi'an's highways are
dangerous -- or, more specifically, its drivers are. After 26 hours of
travel, I was terrified to find my driver swerving to avoid head-on collisions
on the way to the Cross-Cultural Solutions apartments, where I'll spend
the next seven weeks.
