Campus Crime Update The following is a partial report of campus crime between June 10 and Tuesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling (713) 743-0600. Driving while license suspended: 1:29 a.m. June 10, 4500 block of Scott Street -- A visitor was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being pulled over for having expired auto registration. The individual was transported to the Harris County Jail. Duty upon striking unattended vehicle: 1:34 p.m. June 10, Parking Lot 19A -- Complainant reported a vehicle struck her parked vehicle between 9 and 11:30 a.m. A witness left a description of the suspect's vehicle; an investigation is under way. Criminal mischief: 7:57 a.m. June 14, Student Service Center third floor -- Complainant reported multiple offices had pry marks on the doors, and an unknown person(s) broke into two offices, between 6:31 and 6:56 a.m. June 12. Failure to identify: 9:31 a.m. June 14, University Center -- A visitor was observed panhandling inside the University Center. Upon being questioned by UH police, he gave false information about himself. The visitor was arrested and transported to the Harris County Jail. Theft: 7:15 p.m. June 14, Law Center -- Complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole his unsecured laptop computer from a study carrel while he was taking exams. Occurred between 1 and 5 p.m. June 7. Duty upon striking an unattended vehicle: 4:17 p.m. Tuesday, University Hilton garage -- A visitor reported an unknown vehicle struck her parked vehicle on the lower level of the Hilton garage between 8:30 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. The driver of the striking vehicle did not leave information.
