SATURDAY Evolving art: The Blaffer Gallery will host a panel discussion, "The Evolution of the Houston Area Exhibition," at 1 p.m. in the Dudley Recital Hall, Fine Arts Building. Nancy Hixon, the gallery's assistant director, will moderate the panel of curators and artists who will discuss the history of the exhibition, which will be open Friday through Aug. 29 at the Blaffer.
