Practice makes perfect: Lee Wadenpfuhl, who recently
graduated from the Moores School of Music with a bachelor's degree in horn
performance, practices his French horn Monday in preparation for the Texas

TOP STORIES
Scott
rail line could spur development
A light rail corridor connecting UH,
Texas Southern University and the Third Ward to downtown Houston and Hobby
Airport is taking shape as a part of Metro's $7.5 billion initiative to
outfit the Bayou City with a network of light rail transit lines.
Color
barrier remains prevalent
What do African-Americans and 11,000

'Boring'
sport no excuse for bad accents
If you've had the opportunity and
the stomach to see an entire episode of Sportscenter recently, you've probably
seen ESPN's attempts at covering the 2004 European championships in Portugal.
Games

and brain cells that could be spent studying, exercising or looking for
a job. Many promote violence and a degrading attitude toward women or minorities.
But if you're old enough, and you have
the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality, playing a video game now
and then is a great way to let off some steam and have a little fun.
