Democratic pomp
rings hollow
This week, at the Democratic National
Convention, John Kerry and Co. plan to show their vision of the future
for this country. They'll make grand, sweeping (and misleading) claims
as they try to convince America that they have the answer; that they can
make each American's life better.
Surgery craze glosses over harsh
reality
Maybe, when it comes down to it, I'm
to blame. Or at the very least, people like me are to blame. The ones who
tremble at pictures of Michael Jackson and Pamela Lee, who switched off
The Swan in disgust and have remained blissfully oblivious to shows
such as I Want a Famous Face and Extreme Makeover.
