Senate looks forward to fall
After completing the sixth and final
meeting of a prolific summer session today, the Student Government Association
Senate will try to channel its summer momentum into the first full session
of the new administration this fall.
Nader
harms his own causes by running
When Nader ran in 2000, some saw it
as a breath of fresh air. They saw Nader as the answer to the battle of
"the lesser of two evils" in the current two-party system. But after the
debacle that was the Florida recount, and what has happened since, can
anyone really say that Democrats and Republicans are the same? Can anyone
really say that Ralph Nader has helped his causes by running, rather than
hurt them?
Day
one of fall camp brings healthy players
As the sun rises over Robertson Stadium,
the coaches, trainers and support staff arrive at the Athletic/ Alumni
Center. Spirits are high after the most successful season since 1999 and
the Cougars are preparing to prowl through the 2004 Conference USA schedule.
