Provost candidate Luanna Meyer said increasing diversity
among students and faculty will be a priority if she becomes the academic
chief at UH.
Time on our side in ongoing
Iraq conflict
It's a type of headline so commonplace that it's become
invisible: "Roadside bomb kills three GIs," "Car bomb kills two, wounds
17," or "Bored sniper shoots cows, trees, anything." You already know it's
about Iraq and the slow process of rebuilding going on there. As you also
know, President Bush declared the war over months ago. What's going on?
Houston legends call

Seven members of the Houston Oilers. Six Houston Astros.
Six Houston Rockets.
2004 brings opera to Moores
Have you ever held the morbid curiosity of trying to
discover why a woman would wait in a wedding dress for more than half a
century for someone? Have you ever explored the depth of possible vocations
that you might choose to make someone love you? The Moores School of Music
begins its spring semester with two critically acclaimed operas. Miss Havisham's
Fire and La Finta Giardiniera will be performed from Feb. 5 to 9 at the
Moores Opera House.
