GRACE:Sophomore Azul Almazan takes
a dive during a Saturday swimming and diving meet against Texas A&M
at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium. The Cougars dropped
the meet 155-115, which followed a 121-101 loss to Southern Methodist on
Friday.

Over the past 50 years the United States has become the
most powerful country in the world, and the office of the presidency is
without doubt the most powerful office in the U.S. government. This means
a presidential election should be a revered process and not mundanely overlooked.
However, this is far from the case. The election of presidents has become
a banal process as a majority of the voting population pays little attention
to the most crucial element of American society: democracy.

The Cougars played perhaps their best
game of the season Saturday, but it wasn't quite good enough to get past
Cincinnati. The Bearcats won 54-51.
Bad films continue to win
at box office
It was a good weekend for the former cast of The Steve
Harvey Show, as two cast members star in movies in the top three. Unfortunately,
neither of those cast members is Terri J. Vaughn, who played Lovita on
the show. Isn't there some movie with a bikini-theme she could be cast
in soon? Or is that sexist?
