Eight groups will have
student fee hearings today
SFAC to begin deliberating
on divvying up $19 million in fees

The Student Fees Advisory Committee, which
recommends how the estimated $19 million in student fee revenue should
be distributed to fee-funded groups, will begin its hearings today in the
University Center's Bluebonnet Room.
All hearings are open to the public, and
15 minutes will be set aside for public comment at 11:30 a.m.
Today's hearing schedule is as follows:
9:15 a.m.: Dean of Students Ombudservice/Student
Information and Assistance Center
9:45 a.m.: Dean of Students Success Programs
10:15 a.m.: Break
10:30 a.m.: Dean of Students Handbook
11 a.m.: Student Legal Services
11:30 a.m.: Public comment
11:45 a.m.: Lunch
1 p.m.: Student Publications
1:30 p.m.: University Center
2:15 p.m.: Break
2:30 p.m.: Child Care Center
3 p.m.: Department of Campus Recreation
3:45 p.m.: Adjournment
The committee consists of five students
appointed by the Student Government Association, two students appointed
by UH President Jay Gogue and two faculty members also appointed by Gogue.
It is overseen by Dean of Students William Munson.
The committee hearings will continue Monday,
Tuesday and Friday. The Daily Cougar will publish the hearing schedules
each day.
