Galleria
guests get to shop, eat well
Daily Grill in the Galleria,
with its dark wood paneling and dimly lit cigar-friendly bar, looks like
the kind of place Chicago mobsters would have met to discuss their latest
hit over pork chops and applesauce, or like the set of a movie from Hollywood's
film noir period. Evocative of the gentlemen's clubs of the 1940s, this
California-based chain offers hotel guests, tourists and shoppers large
portions of comfort food without having to leave the mall.
Have
some fun in London Town
London is like that Spice
Girl who never smiled ? posh, cold, usually wet, but on a rare occasion,
bright and sunny. If you book anything online from home, remember that
one pound equals about $2. That's the price you pay to visit the kingdom
that gave birth to this nation. Penny pinchers, upon your arrival, buy
a weekend public transport pass at a tube (subway) station. You'll get
unlimited double-decker and tube rides for two days.
Sleepy
Jackson wakes up with 'Lovers'
A great record should be
defined by its ability to keep a listener from hitting the "next track"
button. Many might argue that no one would aim to put out a record with
only a couple of tracks that are worth listening to, but the "skip" button
is not there for kicks, and greatest hits albums are created for this very
reason.
West
teaches hip-hop a lesson
Many think dropping out of college would not
be a wise decision. Disappointing your family, wasting a "secure" future
and most of all giving up are all things students are skeptical about doing.
But Chicago record producer Kanye West had a different opinion. That difference
of opinion has made him more important to hip-hop music right now than
any degree could ever prove.
