Senate approves election budget
The Student Government Association
Senate approved the Election Commission's budget proposal during its emergency
meeting on Wednesday despite at least one senator's reluctance to allow
students to vote online in this year's general election.
Regents
to vote on flood relief bonds
The UH System Board of Regents
will meet at UH-Victoria today to vote on the issue of $25 million in bonds
to help offset the cost of recovery from Tropical Storm Allison in 2001.
Faculty
governance nominations open
Faculty Senate President
Giles Auchmuty called for nominations to the Faculty Senate Commission
on University Governance on Wednesday, announcing that the committee will
consist of seven senators and four UH administrators..
Search
is in a 'public phase'
There are no votes to be
tallied and no deadlines to be met, but many questions still have to be
answered before UH's provost search committee can make its recommendations.
Voice
mail switch delayed two weeks
The University's transition
to a new voice mail system, which was set to take place Saturday, has been
postponed to March 6 in order to provide users more time to activate their
new mailboxes. |
