Filing for SGA election will end Monday Cougar News Staff Students have until Monday evening to file for candidacy for the Student Government Association general election, scheduled for March 10 and 11. The Election Commission has received 13 applications for SGA Senate seats and two for the presidency -- from SGA Vice President Jon Quintanilla of the UH 4U party and business junior Heron Re'chard Thomas of the Student Voice party. Applications must be turned in to the SGA office, Room 57, University Center Underground, by 5 p.m. Monday. They can be picked up at the SGA office; the Campus Activities front desk, Room 51, UC Underground; and the dean of students' office, Room 252, UC. Candidates will receive a copy of the election calendar and SGA Election Code upon filing. They are restricted to filing for one position. In order to qualify for the candidacy of any seat, students must be enrolled at UH Central and be in good academic standing.
