UH still in hunt for tourney
The Cougars let a double digit lead slip away Saturday night, but thanks to clutch shooting from freshman Lanny Smith, they led when it mattered -- at the end.

Poor pitching kills Coogs vs. Cal State
Losing Brad Sullivan and Ryan Wagner to the majors never hurt more than it did this weekend against Cal State Fullerton. After staggering out of the gates against No. 6 Texas and No. 1 Rice, the last thing the Cougars needed was to face another powerhouse team. Unfortunately for UH, the No. 14 Titans didn't seem to care about what the Cougars needed.

Lack of polish dooms UH
While fans enjoyed the party-like atmosphere of Friday's match against Alabama, the Cougars weren't having any fun.

Coogs shine in Classic
The UH softball team concluded the Crowne Plaza Classic at the Cougar Softball Complex on Sunday by blanking Manhattan College 8-0 during the third day of play.

With wins, UH snags share of C-USA crown
If Friday's win over No. 12 DePaul was dinner, then Sunday's victory against Marquette was a nice dessert for the Lady Cougars.
