OPINION
Election holiday
reason to celebrate
In the 2004 presidential election,
President Bush won 50.8 percent of the vote. Only six out of ten eligible
voters turned out and voted in the election, meaning Bush won re-election
with just a little over three out of ten people.
College a time for social development,
too
One of the most important times in
a student's life is the college experience, as it serves to bridge the
gap between the first chapter of life under parental guidance and the point
of independence, when a student steps out to make a name for his or herself
and branch out into new territory.
