Yee-haw: The Cougar Marching Band leads the Rodeo
Parade along Travis Street downtown Saturday morning. This year was the
band's first to lead the parade, the traditional opening of the Houston
Livestock Show and Rodeo.

attended the Student Government Association's candidate seminar Thursday
and were constantly warned that inappropriate campaigning behavior will

In the 2004 presidential election,
President Bush won 50.8 percent of the vote. Only six out of ten eligible
voters turned out and voted in the election, meaning Bush won re-election
with just a little over three out of ten people.

There was success aplenty at the Yeoman
Field House this weekend as both the UH men's and women's track and field
teams completed a sweep of the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Saturday,
marking the third sweep in UH history.

In a deviation from standard Oscar
operating procedure, last night's Academy Awards saw Million Dollar Baby,
a film with only seven nominations, win best picture over The Aviator,
the most-nominated film with 11.
