UH prof finds way
to predict strokes
Researchers from UH and The Methodist
Hospital may have found a way to detect aneurysms before they create strokes,
the result of two years' worth of work.
Parking permit trade offered for
closed lot
Students used to parking in Lot 1A
have an option to get at least part of the value of their parking permits
back since much of the lot was closed during the winter break for construction
of a campus parking garage.
Renowned mathematician Chern dead
at 93
Shiing-Shen Chern, an acclaimed mathematician
and distinguished visiting professor emeritus, died Dec. 3 at 93.
House fire displaces 11 fraternity
brothers
For 11 members of the Phi Kappa Theta
fraternity, the winter break was spent finding new housing and replacing
items lost in an electrical fire at their near-campus fraternity house.
