Cougars keep Golden
Eagles from taking off
Houston traveled to Hattiesburg, Miss.,
over the weekend where they defeated Southern Miss 75-53 on Saturday night,
making it the second time this year the Cougars plucked the Golden Eagles
from the sky.
Cougars pull ahead in Round
3 at Minute Maid
The Cougars grabbed their first lead
of the season with a three run explosion in the bottom of the third and
then held on to win their first game of the 2005 campaign, 6-1 against
No. 9 ranked Texas A&M in the finale of the Minute Maid Classic at
Minute Maid Park.
Cougars go 1-2 in weekend play
at Hilton tourney
The Cougars began their monthlong
homestand games falling to No. 12 Alabama 7-4, followed by a 3-2 win Friday
against Sam Houston State.
Do not let sports ruin valentines
Sports are a cruel mistress. Late
nights, nervous sweats, the constant threat of rejection. America's love
affair with sports certainly has all the earmarks of a romantic relationship.
