Seniors end home
season with a win
Some of the seniors shed tears Sunday
at the senior appreciation ceremony after an emotional 69-64 win against
the UNC Charlotte 49ers in the last Lady Cougar home game of the 2005 season.
Cougars go 1-2 in series against
Pepperdine
Pepperdine slammed 21 hits to overcome
freshman Kori Williams' second-inning grand slam and the Cougars' 18-hit
barrage as the Wave (5-4) jerked an 18-12 win from UH (2-5) to capture
the weekend series from the Cougar pinstripers 2-1.
Cougars host Crowne Plaza Classic,
squd goes 2-3
The Cougars hosted the Crowne Plaza
Classic over the weekend, during which they upset No. 11 Baylor 4-3, wiped
out Kentucky 10-0 and fell to Minnesota 4-1, North Carolina 2-1 and Texas
Tech 1-0, giving Houston a 3-9 record overall.
Coach's trial seems to fit dynamic
"Having people stare at you like you're
a zoo animal," he said. "I was used to being seen in public, but this was
foreign ... I was being likened to Pete Rose, this guy who was gambling.
It never, ever seemed accurate or fair."
