SGA hopefuls plan
complaint
Three candidates vying for the same
Student Government Association Senate seat said during Wednesday's candidate
seminar that they plan to file a complaint with the SGA Election Commission
concerning the application process setup.
DPW no new threat for U.S.
Safety problems in U.S. ports have
more to do with the nation's shortcomings in security rather than changes
brought by the United Arab Emirates-based Dubai Ports World's acquisition
of major American ports, UH professors said.
New CIO names for System, University
Dennis Fouty will shoulder the burden
of keeping the UH System's technological elements running smoothly after
being appointed the System's chief information officer and associate vice
chancellor for information technology, and UH CIO and associate vice president
for IT.
Garage permit cost will not rise
UH President and System Chancellor
Jay Gogue announced Wednesday at the UH Staff Council Spring forum that
the University will not increase the cost of parking garage permits in
2007.

An ongoing study conducted by the
UH Department of Health and Human Performance ensures that UH cheerleaders,
dancers and members of the Spirit of Houston Marching Band have heart-health
on their minds all year long.
