News Campus Crime Report The following a partial report of campus crime between Thursday and Monday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600. Burglary of a motor vehicle: 2:16 p.m., Thursday, Lot 20A -- A student reported his left window on his vehicle was broken out and his stereo system and speakers were stolen from the vehicle. No suspects. Occurred between 10 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. Thursday. Possession of drug paraphernalia: 4:59 p.m., Thursday, Bayou Oaks Apartments -- A residential advisor contacted UH Department of Public Safety in reference to an individual in his room. Contact was made with the resident and discovered to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a Harris County Citation and a Student Life and Residential Referrals. Occurred at 4:59 p.m. Thursday. Burglary of a motor vehicle: 9:13 p.m., Thursday, Lot 20A -- Two students reported their vehicles' windows were shattered and broken. The vehicles were ransacked and property was missing. No witnesses or suspects. Occurred between 8 and 9 p.m. Thursday. Stalking: 8:40 p.m., Sunday, Science and Research 2 -- A student stated a known male student made several unwanted telephone calls to her cell phone and forced his way into her office located in the Science and Research 2 building. The student advised she attempted to contact 911, and the suspect prevented her from doing so by causing damage to the phone in her office. The suspect/student later came to UH Department of Public Safety and was issued a citation for criminal mischief and a Student Life Referral in regard to the incident. Occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 8:40 p.m. Sunday. Suspicious person/disorderly conduct: 5:24 p.m.,
Monday, Cougar Place Apartments -- Two students and one visitor were
detained after being observed jumping a fence at Cougar Place. After contacting
the individuals, the officers discovered the smell of marijuana in one
of their apartments. Both students were issued Student Life Referrals,
and the visitor was later issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and a citation
for parking in a handicap space without a permit. Occurred at 5:24 p.m.
Monday.
