season, Collegiate Baseball No.19 UH is looking to finish strong down the
stretch and make a legitimate run at the Conference USA regular season
title.

UH track and field coach Leroy Burrell announced the
Cougars have signed five athletes, including three sprinters, a hurdler
and a women's discus thrower. All athletes signed are Texas natives and
will begin competing for the Cougars in 2007.

The Cougars are coming off a fifth-place
finish at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate that was held April
7 and 8 in Cary, N.C.
NCAA sports world will never
be the same
Collegiate athletics took a huge hit
on Tuesday as two Duke lacrosse players were arrested for allegedly raping
and kidnapping a dancer at a party they held. While an incident like this
is rare at best, all college sports programs will now be under the microscope.
