News UHPD seeks three in Cambridge Oaks burglary Cougar News Services UHPD is looking for three suspects, including one who was armed, who forced themselves into a Cambridge Oaks apartment on Wednesday and stole several items. According to a security alert posted Thursday, two of the suspects spoke with the two complainants in the Cambridge Oaks parking lot around 7 p.m. Wednesday. At 9:45 p.m., the two suspects returned with a third suspect, when one of them knocked on the door of the complainant's apartment. When he answered, the men forced themselves in, and one wielded a semi-automatic pistol. They demanded the complainant's money and then burglarized the apartment. The first suspect is described as being a black man with short hair in a fade-style cut, 19-21 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was seen wearing a baggy black shirt and black pants with white Nike sneakers. The second suspect was also black, described by the alert as having a medium brown complexion and being similar in age to the first suspect. He was described as being 6 foot, 2 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing wire frame glasses, a black tank top and black baggy jeans. This suspect displayed the semi-automatic pistol. The third suspect, a black man with thin braided hair, appeared to be 20 to 22 years old, 6 feet in height and weigh 200 pounds. He was wearing a white and light blue baseball jersey. Sketches of the suspects are available at www.uh.edu/police/security_alert/index.html. The suspects were not seen leaving the scene, so police do not know if they rode in a car or in what direction they went after the crime. UHPD is encouraging anyone with information regarding
this incident, or who sees any of the suspects on or near campus, to call
(713) 743-3333 or 911.
