News Campus Crime Report The following is a partial report of campus crime between Thursday and Sunday June 30. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event’s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600. Theft: 2:36 p.m. Thursday, Roy G. Cullen Memorial — A student reported unknown person(s) stole his unattended and unsecured bicycle. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time. Occurred between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Theft: 9:13 p.m. Thursday, Moody Towers Commons — A visitor reported her unattended and unsecured property was stolen. No suspect(s) or leads at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Occurred between 7 and 8:15 p.m. Traffic offense: 10:08 a.m. Friday, Parking Lot 20B — A student reported an unknown person(s) damaged her parked vehicle in Lot 20B. There are no suspects at this time. Occurred between 3 and 7 p.m. July 13. Theft: 1:50 p.m. Friday, Philip Guthrie Hoffman Hall — A student reported he secured his bicycle to the bike rack on the library side of PGH. When he returned the lock had been cut and the bicycle was gone. There are no suspects. Occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Theft: 5:20 p.m. Friday, Hofheinz Pavilion A staff member reported that unknown suspect(s) entered the Women’s restroom located in front of section 228 inside Hofheinz Pavilion and stole the toilet paper from the stalls. There are no suspects or leads at this time. An investigation is underway. Occurred between 9:45 p.m. on July 13 and 4:45 p.m. on July 14. Burglary of a motor vehicle: 5:18 p.m. Friday, Bayou Oaks — Unknown person(s) broke into a student’s vehicle and took property. There are no witnesses. Occurred between 6 p.m. Thursday and 5:15 p.m. Friday. Theft: 2:16 a.m. Saturday, Moody Towers — A visitor reported that her secured/unattended bike was stolen from the Moody Towers bike rack. There are no suspects. Occurred between 8 a.m. Thursday and midnight Saturday. Criminal Mischief: 9:53 p.m. Sunday, Campus Recreation and Wellness Center — A visitor was arrested for criminal mischief when he intentionally overturned a pamphlet stand in the Rec Center, causing damage, after being asked to leave during a fire alarm.
