Dean: CLASS to face
hard times
College of Liberal Arts and Social
Sciences Dean John Antel on Wednesday held a meeting at the Wortham Theater
to stress to faculty members the severity of the financial bind the college
could face because of decisions made by the UH System Board of Regents.
Groups shed light on AIDS
Cougar Peers Educating Peers and the
Activities Funding Board will host their third annual World AIDS Day from
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the University Center.
Groups to fight drug laws restricting
aid
The American Civil Liberties Union
and one of the largest student organizations in the country are looking
for students to participate in a lawsuit challenging the law that denies
federal financial aid to students convicted of drug offenses.
