Looking toward to Fort Worth

Cougar Sports Services

The UH football team and the thousands of supporting Cougar fans continue to prepare for UH's second bowl appearance in three seasons.

The Fort Worth Bowl, featuring Houston and Big 12 rival Kansas, will be on Dec. 23 at Amon G. Carter Stadium, home of the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs.

The encounter between UH and Kansas, both of which finished with a 6-5 record, will be the third time the two teams step on the field together. Houston's 10th time to participate in a bowl game in the state of Texas is composed of UH playing four times in both Houston and Dallas, as well as once in El Paso.

Fans and students are encouraged to support the Cougars.

The Houston Alumni Organization is selling $30 packages that include transportation, a pre-game tailgate and a ticket to the bowl game (limited availability). Students can purchase this package online at http://mycougarconnection.com.

Students can also purchase single tickets to the game through the Athletic Ticket Office by simply showing their Cougar 1Card. Students will then be able to pick up their tickets at the stadium's will call on the day of the game. Additional tickets for family and friends can be purchased for face value of $40 in person or online at www.uhcougars.com
