Life & Arts Tucker takes debauchery to the max Author's experiences with women will keep readers laughing, worried about his fate by SHAUN RODRIGUEZ
Tucker Max is, in a word, outrageous. This man experiences more hilarity, horror and luck in a month than most people do in their entire lives. Men want to be him and women throw themselves at him, all because of his seemingly magnetic personality. So who is this guy? What's so special about him? Simply go to www.tuckermax.com to find out. This former law student makes a good living off of this Web site, which incidentally began as an online hook-up application that random women could fill out in order to sleep with him. Once caught within his domain, readers are regaled with tales of partying, sex, womanizing, drinking and other debauchery. And the best part is that all the stories are true. This man, whether you come to hate him or love him, crafts his tales so well that you can't help but read his stories until you find yourself about to pass out at your keyboard at 5 a.m. I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, a book of his collected stories (some of which are straight from his Web site, and some of which is new content), serves as an excellent introduction into his world for the uninitiated. For a good, long read that serves as the best example of what it's like to be Tucker Max, read "The Austin Road Trip." This story is easily the best of his material, and it is also the longest of his many tales. The beautiful part of this book and his site is that because so many of his stories are worth reading, it is hard to recommend any above the others. Do yourself a favor: Next time you have 15 minutes, go read one of his stories from his site and prepare to be in stitches. You'll thank Tucker between gasps.
