Tragedy may beget opportunity
Ever since it was announced that Lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith were coming to Houston, I've been anticipating their show. I am a die-hard fan of both artists and had everything set and planned out from very early on. But because of circumstances beyond my control, I was met with disappointment.
 

A fond farewell to a city with character
In about a month, I'll be moving up north and away from Houston, my hometown and my home of 24 years.
 

Film raises questions about gay discrimination 
in society
I saw Brokeback Mountain, a movie that focuses on a secret gay relationship. I am a conservative, but I can't grasp why society persecutes homosexual relationships. Is it really our business?
 

Next generation has many failures to fix
I love it when politicians, teachers and even families declare that we are the generation that will accomplish everything they could not.
