News Campus Crime Report The following is a partial report of campus crime between Jan. 3 and Monday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600. Warrant: 10:32 a.m., Jan. 25, Lot 15C -- The U.S. Secret Service had an outstanding felony theft warrant for a student. The student was transported to the UH police station to be photographed. She was then released to the Secret Service. Occurred at 10:32 a.m. Jan. 25. Evading arrest: 6:41 p.m., Thursday, Lot 1A -- Two visitors were arrested for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest after they were discovered breaking into a parked vehicle. It was later determined that the suspect's vehicle was stolen and both males were also charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Both males were transported to Harris County Jail. Occurred at 5:39 p.m. Thursday Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: 2:05 p.m., Thursday, Lot 18A -- A student reported that unknown person(s) busted out his rear window and made entry into his unattended, secured vehicle and attempted to steal his factory DVD player. There are no suspects. Occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Theft: 4:37 p.m., Thursday, Cullen College of Engineering Room 204-D -- A student left his laptop unsecured in a lab. The laptop was in a case. When the student returned three days later, the laptop was missing, but the case was left behind. There are no suspects. Occurred between unknown time Jan. 23 and unknown time Thursday. Resisting arrest: 2:07 a.m., Friday, Bayou Oaks Apartments -- Officers responded to a loud party at the Sigma Pi Fraternity House. Officers arrested one student for resisting arrest. Occurred at 2:07 a.m. Friday. Disorderly conduct: 3:15 a.m., Friday, Bayou Oaks Apartments Building 10 -- A known suspect was witnessed urinating outside window area of a UH residential area. Occurred at 3 a.m. Friday. Assault: 5:54 p.m., Saturday, M.D. Anderson Memorial
Library -- A female student reported a male unwontedly fondled her feet
for sexual gratification. Officers located the suspected and issued him
a Criminal Trespass Warning and Student Life Referral after the student
declined to file charges. Occurred at 5:54 p.m. Saturday.
