Filing deadline
extended
The Student Government Association
Senate extended on Wednesday the filing deadline to run for SGA Senate
seats to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Drug use not rampant at UH
Despite the perception that many UH
students use marijuana, surveys conducted by the Wellness Center show that
only about 10 percent of UH students engage in the activity, said Gail
Hudson-Gillan, director of the center.
Student liable in minor car wreck
A car driven by an 18-year-old student
slammed into the back of a minivan Wednesday, causing damage to both vehicles.
New eateries, shops to serve food,
fun
University Center officials are in
final negotiations with campus food vendor Aramark and Dallas-based restaurant
operator Brinker International to bring Chili's Too, a casual dining restaurant
to the University Center by Summer 2006.
