RodeoHouston unleashes
stellar acts
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
draws hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls to compete for serious prizes and
glory, and it brings some of the biggest stars in country and rock music
to Houston to unite generations of Texans to be a part of it all.
Big birthday bash needs a playlist
My birthday is Sunday -- come out
to the Jet Lounge that evening or the Turbojugend Humpday event at Rudyard's
on March 8 -- and as has become tradition, here is my playlist for what
is sure to be a chaotic weekend of debauchery that would make David Allen
Coe blush.
Popes leave with fans wanting

The past year has seen many bands
return to the stage. As much as I would like to be disappointed more people
were not around to welcome them back, there is a part of me that's glad
to see these bands play in an atmosphere similar to when they started out
so many years ago.
Feeding James wins Frontier Fiesta
events
Feeding James beat out three other
bands at Frontier Fiesta's Battle of the Bands on Monday to be named the
opening act for Reckless Kelly and the Randy Rogers Band for this year's
Fiesta concert on April 1.
